Sometimes intriguing but always exciting, the themes evoked through the artistic creations of Count Guy van den Steen de Jehay rouse visitors’ curiosity.
The castle's final resident and an aristocrat passionate about art and history, the count was a pre-eminent sculptor.
Varying between classical mythological subjects and a number of more “personal” themes, the sculptures in bronze, hidden in the gardens' twists and turns, provide a fine insight into the chatelaine's production and artistic mastery.
