Aims and Objectives | To give to the students the ability to take up the courses specific to the training in medical biology and biotechnology. To train the students to develop scientific approaches, a critical, rigorous thinking and good analytic abilities. |
Description | Molecular biology · Molecular composition of the cell · Function and replication of DNA · Genetic information: genetic code; protein synthesis ; genetic regulation in prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells. Cell biology · Cell structure · Composition, structure and functions of the plasma membrane, the nucleus and the organelles. · Comparison between animal cell and vegetal cell · Mitosis, cell cycle, cell cycle regulation. Biology of the reproduction · The meosis - Spermatogenesis and ovogenesis Hormonal control of the gametogenesis Fertilization . Embryonic and foetal development human - organogenesis and histogenesis Foetal membranes Regulation of the embryonic development . Experimental embryology, applications Genetic: Mendelian heredity, chromosome theory of heredity; karyotype; banding; mutations; heredity of blood groups (ABO system and rhesus factor); the hereditary diseases transmitted by autosomes or by heterososmes.
