NINANE, Christian
Course UnitCompulsory
TermQuad. 1 and 2
CodeTECH-IELM0002/1
Prerequisite

Bases of applied mathematics and fundamental laws of electricity. In particular, differential equations, Laplace and Fourier transforms.

Moreover, for mechanicians and aerotechnicians:

Training in strength of materials. Training in matrix calculation and numerical analysis.

Aims and Objectives

To obtain the bases of the signal processing and its application to the mechanical vibrations.

Moreover, for mechanicians and aerotechnicians:

Knowing that the design and calculation of machine components and structures use norms and standards related to the type of machines, their static, thermal and dynamic studies, and their optimization require analysis using finite elements. The course will define the finite elements method and provide its foundation.

Description

Signal's treatment : Signal and information; signals and spectra; systems of transmission and filtering; concepts of noise; application to the field of the vibrations. Study of the vibrations in mechanics and applications. Moreover, for the control engineers (automatic): Modulation, digital transmission, sampling, FFT.

Moreover, for mechanicians and aerotechnicians:

Stiffness Matrix - Displacement Method - Approximation methods - Foundations of the FE Method - Displacement Model- Interpolation Functions - Intrinsic coordinates - Isoparametric elements - Jacobien. Elements: bar - beam - plate - hull. Generalized oscillator - Hamilton's Principle - Lagrange equations.
