Aims and Objectives

To be able to locate the communication theories in a historical contextto give students means to cease thinking communication in terms of analytical models

To be able to choose one or the other systemic theory according to the questions to which they will have to answer.

Description

Among the theoretical currents presented, we will analyse among others:

· The Mathematical Theory of Communication by Shannon

· The functions of the language by Jakobson

· Palo Alto's school and the orchestral model

· Anthropology and communication

Topics approached:

Verbal language and nonverbal language; interactions; etc
