| Aims and Objectives | To give a better understanding of the inner working of information systems and particularly of document management systems by examining some linguistic features related to the storage and retrieval of textual information |

Boolean search and proximity search, precoordination and postcoordination. Information extraction. Introduction to computational linguistics. Introduction to knowledge visualization. |
